Fwd: Here’s an exclusive sneak peek of Aqua Mare, the first superyacht to sail the Galapagos Islands

It has been a month since Aqua Mare started sailing, and our inaugural voyages have been as magical as we could’ve ever imagined. For Aqua Expeditions’ founder, Francesco Galli Zugaro – who first started his career in luxury travel in Ecuador – this launch is particularly meaningful. He has dreamt of bringing a luxury expedition ship to these shores for over a decade.

“It’s such a gratifying moment in my life to finally return to the Galapagos Islands and let our guests experience the Enchanted Islands on board our superyacht Aqua Mare,” says Galli Zugaro.

Aqua Mare is the fifth vessel to grace the Aqua Expeditions fleet, and the first ever superyacht to sail the Galapagos Islands. Featuring seven Zuretti-designed suites, extravagant social spaces, and an immaculate attention to detail, the 50-meter-long expedition ship raises the bar for luxury cruising in the region.

While on board, guests enjoy the islands’ most exclusive 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio and a journey curated to their every desire. The daily excursions are unique to the region – from snorkeling with sea lions and Galapagos penguins to hiking through mangroves and lava fields. Finally, the cuisine – overseen by culinary mastermind Pedro Miguel Schiaffino – presents an adventure of its own, inspired by the dramatic landscapes of the Galapagos Islands and the Peruvian Nikkei style.

As the reviews roll in, we’re glad to hear our guests confirm that this certainly is the adventure of a lifetime. Listen to the testimonials here, and click below to book your very own voyage aboard Aqua Mare.

Here's a look at all the exciting happenings over at Aqua Expeditions.

Aqua Mare takes the cover of Financial Times' HTSI

Aqua Mare was made for the magazine covers, and her first one is truly spectacular. In the July 2022 edition of Financial Times' HTSI, Simon Usborne writes, “Entering the panoramic lounge Aqua Mare's social hub, with an enormous horseshoe sofa — feels like walking into an emir's cigar box. The theme continues in the cabins, including the beam-to-beam, 80sq m owner's suite…”
