One of my favorite childhood memories was going to my grandparents’ house for St. Patrick’s Day. My family is from County Cork, and my grandmother could make an incredible Irish soda bread. Luckily for me, she passed that tradition on to my mother, who passed it on to me, and I look forward to sharing with our children. Check out our family recipe, and whatever you do, don’t skip the salt!
That connection to Ireland makes me especially excited about SEA CLOUD SPIRIT’s Ireland itinerary in 2027. There is something incredibly special about experiencing a destination that is so deeply connected to family heritage, and doing it aboard a sailing ship makes the journey even more meaningful.
I can’t wait for our guests to discover Ireland’s dramatic coastlines, rich history, charming ports, and unmistakable hospitality — all while under full sail aboard SEA CLOUD SPIRIT.

Authentic Sailing Experiences
While summer travelers gravitate toward Europe’s popular (and often overcrowded) destinations, SEA CLOUD CRUISES is taking a different approach in 2027, inviting guests to experience boutique ports through historic landscapes and culinary traditions.
On our midsummer journey through Ireland, the Isles of Scilly, southern England, Guernsey, and Normandy, explore Cork’s historic English Market, the subtropical Abbey Gardens on Tresco, the Dartmouth Steam Railway, and Guernsey’s wildflower-lined cliffs before arriving in picturesque Honfleur, a gateway port to Paris. Wine and culinary expert Manuel Hornemann will accompany the voyage and lead an exclusive Curated Moment ashore.
